24th Annual Larry Campbell Tree of Lights

Honor a loved one or friend as part of the Larry Campbell Tree of Lights. This annual fundraiser offers individuals a special way to pay tribute to someone with an ornament during the holiday season. Your honoree will have their name placed on the tree with your chosen ornament. This year, a limited-edition Cactus ornament in metal and a Veteran’s commemorative ornament are the premium choices ($20 donation per ornament/honoree). Or allow us to choose another ornament from our stock to pair with your honoree’s name with a $10 donation. Both premium ornaments have limited availability, and supplies may run out quickly.

To take part in the Tree of Lights, select from the dropdown list. Be sure to choose the Tree of Lights form along with the ornaments.

This year’s choice of ornaments:

• Veteran’s Eagle – Similar to the Presidential Seal, this metal ornament depicts an Eagle holding an olive branch and arrows in its talons. The banner displays “Honored Veteran.” – $20 donation
• Cactus with Lights – this metal ornament is decorated with colored lights. A banner at the bottom displays “Tempe, Arizona” – $20 donation
• Petersen House – metal, dimensional depiction of the 1892 historic Petersen House in Tempe – $20 donation
• THS Stock Ornament – $10 donation (or if you would like your $20 donation ornament immediately, this will be paired with your honoree’s name for the tree display)

Order early to have your honoree displayed on the tree and on accompanying signage for the holiday season! Trees are installed the week after Thanksgiving and are on view during regular open hours at Tempe History Museum, 809 E Southern Avenue during the month of December.

About the Larry Campbell Tree of Lights
Tree of Lights is named in honor of Larry Campbell, a past president of the Tempe Historical Society, who began this Tempe tradition in 2001. Two trees in the Tempe History Museum Lobby will be decorated with ornaments:  one for veterans and one for other honorees.

Donations support Tempe History Society’s wide variety of activities, programs and events such as the Tempe Legends program, THS Lunch Talks, support of historic Petersen House, and support of Tempe History Museum free educational programs.

Ornaments may be picked up after December 17th the museum’s regular open hours or you may opt to have your ornament shipped to you or your honoree for an additional fee of $5 per address.
